Experience
ESL Experience: I have been teaching English as a Second Language for over 2 years now, and I thoroughly enjoy it. I taught English in China for 2 years. During that time, I taught composition, listening, and oral English. One of my biggest assets is that I have also lived in another country, so I can empathize with the challenges of experiencing a different culture and learning a new language. My passion is to help my students successfully learn English in order for them to have a better life in America. This year I have been teaching ESL grammar classes at a Dallas community college. My students are from many different backgrounds and it has been a pleasure getting to know them and learning more about their cultures. Writing & Grammar: As I said, I have been teaching grammar classes at a Dallas community college so I am experienced at explaining grammar. My major in college was creative writing. Throughout my time in college, I was learning how to become a better writer. I also taught composition at a Chinese university. And I have edited many students’ papers.

I really enjoy reading. My favorite book is the Bible because I can learn more about Jesus in it. I also love to swing dance.
