Erika K.
Private tutor in Arlington, TX
Education
I graduated from the University of Florida (UF) in 2014 with a degree in chemical engineering (GPA 3.47), and I will complete my master's degree in biomedical engineering in August 2015 (GPA 3.76). My master's is also at UF; I have finished my coursework so I was able to move to DFW to be with my family.
Experience
I tutored undergraduate students at UF for 2 years as a private tutor and lecturer. My specific subjects were general chemistry 1 & 2, organic chemistry 1 & 2, and biology. As president of UF's chemistry club, I also created and ran a student-run tutoring program. On Saturdays, I teach construction skills at Habitat for Humanity, so I am very comfortable guiding new people through somewhat terrifying tasks.

Hobbies
I enjoy intramural sports like ultimate frisbee, flag football, and--recently--softball. Anything outdoors is fun! I love volunteering on the weekends. I am a huge fan of DIY projects like building furniture and other fun crafts. I have a very small lapdog that likes to go on errands with me. I love to play with my niece and nephew in the evenings. I am available at most times because I am finished with my coursework and just working on a final project before graduation.
